Fellow Reenactors,

 

The Huntington Beach Historical Society is once again hosting one of the best events of the year and the event date is fast approaching; September 1st and 2nd.

 

The good news is we anticipate a record number of reenactors, as well as spectators.

 

The bad news is, well… there is no bad news. It is all good.

 

The event has historically grown each year to be one of the most anticipated.

 

While we have no mounted due to park policy, the event is so good I know of reenactors that normally attend only mounted events that will attend as dismounts because of the quality of the reenactment.

 

While there are limited paid gun slots at the Huntington Beach event we never have a problem filling those slots, and always have guns to spare.

 

The commitments I have received regarding infantry suggest record numbers will be on the field. With high numbers we have the opportunity for longer and more interesting battle scenarios as we bring troops on the field in phases and from different locations.

 

This event is an invitational event, open to all reenactors from any organization, and those participating as independents. Everyone is welcome and your participation enables the Historical Society to continue hosting this quality event, with comfortable weather in the midst of a metropolitan area, yet, in a park setting.

 

Please mark your calendars, talk to those in your commands, or your pard’s in the ranks about attending. We have always had a great time at this event.

 

Additional information, maps, weather, updates can be found on the www.hartsengineers.com website. Go the Event Schedule, Central Park. I need to update a couple of things for the HB event and will get that current within the next week. Check that website from time to time for update information.

 

Please forward this message to your own reenactor email list so the Huntington Beach Historical Society gets the maximum distribution to as many reenactors as possible.

 

I know the HBHS has sent out waiver forms, reenactor registration, and parking permit. I have attached those files to this message for those that may not have received them.
